Denny Shook and Jim Prettyman represented Sussex Cyclists yesterday on the Coast Life show on WRDE. Their segment on Bicycle Safety was great, and they were both SUPERSTARS!
Thanks for all you do to help us promote Safe & Enjoyable Cycling in Lower Delaware!
32 members who rode this week's Wed ride! Great fun on each of the 3 groups: 14 mph, 15-16 mph & 18-18.5 mph.
We had a terrific “Bike Check” event in Rehoboth last evening. Rob and Cassie Burns, John Fiori, Chris Braudy and Jim Prettyman manned the table. Although it looks like we just sat around enjoying each other’s company we did provide equipment and information for well over twenty visitors. The weather was perfect also!
Volunteers Needed Bicycle Safety Checkpoints
All dates are now posted—sign up anytime!
Every year, Sussex Cyclists teams up with DelDOT and State Police to host bicycle safety checkpoints offering repairs, lights, helmets, and safety info to the public. Below is this year's schedule.
No special skills needed—just a willingness to help! Tasks may include handing out materials, making minor bike adjustments, and installing lights or reflective tape.
These events are also a great way for members to connect, socialize, and bring guests along to get involved. It's a fun, rewarding experience for all!
You can register on the club calendar or click here for a list with links to each event.
Please register only for dates you plan to attend. If you have any questions, please contact:

What a great day. 30 miles on the C&D Canal with 23 riders, beautiful weather and an awesome lunch at Shaffers Canal House. Doesn’t get much better than this.
Last night’s Bike Safety Event was attended by Sussex Cyclists Steve Graninali, Andy Blair, Chris Braudy, and Jim Prettyman. Also helping were DelDot’s John Fiori and Mary Roth and Jack Feherey from the Lewes Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Also joining us were officers Poorman, Burton, and Holton from the Lewes Police Department. We helped well over twenty cyclists.
