UPDATE: Rock the Boat – August 1 Canceled

Due to the weather forecast, Rock the Boat on August 1 has been canceled.

The Sussex Cyclists event has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 29.

If you'd like to join us on the new date, please either modify your reservation online or call the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to switch your ticket to August 29.

The rescheduled event will be posted on the Calendar. If you update your ticket or purchase new ones, please sign up on the August 29 date.

"Rock the Boat" on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry

FERRY RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

DATE: Friday, August 1, 2025

TIME: 

  • We will meet at 3:30 in the lobby of the ferry station.
  • Ferry check-in begins at 3:45 PM
  • Depart Lewes at 4:15 PM
  • Sail Roundtrip
  • Arrive back at Lewes at 7:25 PM

LOCATION: Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal

PRICE: $18 per person, roundtrip. Discounts are available for Seniors, AAA Members, Military, and First Responders. Includes walk-on passage and entertainment by the Rock N' Roll Party Band, Glass Onion. 

FOOD AND BEVERAGES are available for purchase. Bar service is available at the Lido Bars and satellite bars. The Lido Bars accept cash and cards, but the satellite bars are cash only. No alcohol may be carried on board!  You can bring snacks, but no coolers.

NOTE: If booking online, be sure to select  RETURN TRIP JOURNEY, Outbound Departure Route LEWES-CAPE MAY, AUGUST 1, 4:15 pm, ROCK THE BOARD CRUISE (NOT Lewes Round Trip).

After purchasing tickets, please register with us so we know you are coming.

TIPS FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE:

  • Free parking is available at the terminal. If you don't have a designated driver, cars may be left overnight, and taxis or ride-share can be called for pick-ups after the boat returns. Cars left overnight should be registered at the Ticket Counter or with the DRBA Police after hours.
  • Food and beverages are available for purchase while on board. No alcohol may be carried on board.
  • Keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly.
  • Sneakers, secure sandals, or flats are recommended over flip-flops or other slip-on footwear.
  • Entertainment is Handicap-Accessible. Passengers can take the elevator to the Skywalk on the terminal's second level, and a special lift is available on the second deck to the upper "entertainment" deck.
